As an assignment exploring UI/UX design, I was tasked with redesigning Netflix's homepage. Netflix is known for it's never-ending scroll, which causes anyone trying to find a new show or movie to watch a headache. There are multiple changes I made in order to better organize it's ever growing catalouge.

The first thing this re-designed Netflix will show you is your "Continue Watching" section. Usually, this is buried between other random topics or genres Netflix recommends, with the intention that you will get distracted and start another show, and therefore spend more time on the platform. However, many people just feel frustrated that they can't continue the show they want to watch, so it makes more sense to let them finish a show they love and then reccommend a similar one for them to start next.

Another change I made is shortening the scroll time. Instead, the bottom will have a group of genres you can click through. This way you funnel the viewer into making small decisions that eventually lead them to a show or movie they want to match. It's better to have them spend time enjoying the content on Netflix than becoming frustrated with all the options it offers.
