Ctrl + Shift is a competition hosted by Coded by Kids geared toward young coders. They create their own website about any topic that interests them.

I created initial wireframes, final mock-ups, and prototypes for the webpage and worked alongside a product manager and team of developers to translate final designs into a functional product.

You can see our design incorporated into the Coded by Kids website here:

The Ctrl + Shift webpage is geared towards potential sponsors of Coded by Kids, parents wanting to see their children's work on display, and any future coders who may want to join the competition or learn more about Coded by Kids.

It was important to focus on the winners of the 2021 competition. Our team included interactive images that play a quick gif of the winner's website when hovered over. The goal was to encourage visitors to check out the winning websites for themselves.

Assets

All assets and color palettes aim to seamlessly transition the page into the rest of the Coded by Kids website. This includes using the official Ctrl + Shift logo, original website's colors, and correct font and sizes.

Mobile

The mobile version of the Ctrl + Shift Website optimizes presenting the website in a friendly and accessible way to mobile users.

The Winners and Finalists sections were both condensed into slideshows that are easy to navigate to limit scroll time. All buttons open another tab with the selected website and are emphasized to draw attention from the user.
